Mr.FcuK Snapshots & Lessons of My Life

3 of my plans for the summer didn’t look to be really great. Qualifying for Nationals didn’t work for me, as I was busy for both the qualifying sessions, so I couldn’t make it. Blogging on those which I would have supposed to blog also failed as I didn’t really update my blog for really, really long already.

2 plans down and that leaves only the Frisbee plan and it succeeded. I have been teaching Ultimate Frisbee at Sungai Petani voluntarily for about 1 month now. 2 big schools, 1 mini school, and later will be my first session in another big school. First pick-up session in public ground was held on the past Friday and Saturday. Turnout wasn’t that bad, as around 20 people came to enjoy themselves.

Am glad that I was given the opportunity and there’s just a lot of people for me to thank, but I shall leave that for later post. Just a brief blog entry here on how am I doing and I have to say, tired tired. It’s not easy to spread Ultimate when you are going solo or double. I wish Oops (formerly known as Nottingham Knights) were here….

Want to watch funny politics? The last time I heard, Malaysian one was not too bad. In fact it’s quite good and makes you laugh so that you can live longer to see how slow Malaysia’s development is.

So tomorrow live debate, Anwar and Information Minister, 9.00 pm. I think it would be great, maybe like how Robin Williams is in the movie “Man of The Year” …….

A small stall, located at the border of Selangor and Negeri Sembilan, is known by many from Semenyih and Broga to serve good Pan Mee (noodles). Unfamiliar to many others for its town name, explorers of University of Nottingham managed to find the stall and ever since then infested their stalls regularly. This shows that good food is needed to be found. It won’t come to you.

Food
Pan Mee, which can be served either dry (with black sauce) or with soup, makes students travel into the current half-forest like journey just to have them. Comes in several portion, with small, medium, big and special ordered big big, are the alternatives, even though they don’t look too much of a difference. Regardless of how big or how small the portion is, the taste is definitely good.

After a good meal of lunch, Ais Kacang, a local Malaysian desert can also be served. Not as good as the one compared to Penang Island, but it can serves as a mouth quenching item when the weather is hot. Apart from that, Cendol (local delight) is also available as drinks.

Environment
The place is neither behind close doors nor it is air conditioned, but a place which is cheap to maintain allows them to charge a low pricing for customers. Pan Mee will be served by the stall in front, by several aunties or ladies, while the drinks and Ais Kacang desert is served by an uncle (with the habit of putting a coin in his ear). The place usually will be packed around 12.45PM to 2.00PM. After eating, you can head on down to a famous temple in Broga Town, which has made an appearance in several movies, with Ah Long Pte Ltd being the latest one to be filmed there. Enjoy the beautiful scenery while you are there.

Price
The food served is really cheap. Like my friend, Chong, always says in Hokkien “Pan Gi Ko Tuo De”, which means “Cheap and Big Portion”.

Verdict
For those who are really adventurous and really want to explore Malaysian in and out, head on down to Broga Town, by passing through Semenyih town and the University of Nottingham first, to try the noodles out. As a student, it is definitely worth my money to eat there with tasty and cheap food being served….

Located near the Kajang football stadium, lies one of the best Satay selling places in Malaysia - Haji Samuri. It is a restaurant located in a double-storey Malay cultural wooden hut, with great atmosphere. If you are coming down to Kajang, you should definitely have a try at the shop.

Food
There are many different kinds of satay being served, ranging from chicken meat, beef meat to rabbit meat and deer meat. Apart from that, usual Malay fried rice like Nasi Pataya are also being served there, along with deserts like Ais Kacang and Cendol. Make sure you try the kuah there, it is really nice. In fact it was my first time trying satay kuah when I was there and I love it.

The chunky, juicy meat will just make your mouth feel the sense of great satisfaction.

This is the Satay Kuah. For those who are not Malaysians, it is something like Satay dressing.

Cucumber and the ketupat rice. Make sure you don’t order too much, cause they actually charge you for those.

Environment
There are two parts inside the restaurant. One with air-conditioner and one without. You can have your food upstairs too while enjoying the view of Kajang (not that great though). You can see families ordering a big bulk of satay and just enjoying themselves with deserts too. You can also see some old antiques furniture there and also an old classic red car near the entrance.

Price
This is the best part, only RM 0.60 per stick. It’s quite cheap for the portion they give, if you ask me. Plus it’s in Selangor, so the rate even makes it special. The other dishes are quite reasonably priced too. Trust me, 10 sticks will automatically make you quite full for a thin guy. So you don’t have to worry that you have to pay too much.

Verdict
Kajang Satay, which is well known by a lot of Malaysians, is definitely a fact. And how do you know which one is the best in Kajang? Well just find out where is the Kajang Stadium and Haji Samuri is located at the right side of it. If you are unfamiliar with directions, do ask around the people there. For those who are heading to Seremban or the southern region of Malaysia, Kajang would a good stop for you to try fantastic satay. Once in a lifetime experience for you and your family members to try one of the best Satay in the country….

It has been a year now since Mr.FcuK went dot com and I just renewed my subscription for another year. It’s a risk worth taking for RM 139 per year as it feels like kinda cool to have a dot com website. I know Chong is used to it already, since he has some ventures of his own with domain names. He even created a simplified web address for those students from Nottingham to check their mail without remembering the long web address. Nottimail.com - I guess that’s what people meant by trying to succeed on the Internet. Never a harm to try out different things and one day Google might just knock on your day with money that you can’t resist, which could let you live like forever, unless you have wives like Lindsay Lohan, Britney Spears and Paris Hilton. Then maybe you need to buy more underwears for them.

Anyway, here’s a toast to myself (yeah quite sad) for another year that has passed and hopefully I have blog entries which has more humour in it….

It has been ages since I have been to Genting, and I have no complains for that. I think the last time I went was when First World Hotel was still brand new, with nice lightings and flooring. After so long, Genting has really transformed a lot, with many shops opening and also not forgetting stalls in the middle of walk ways. Even you can find Pizza Hut now at 5674.2319.. feet above sea level. Tasty hot delicious pizza during cold weather.

However, Genting isn’t really that cool as Genting anymore. I just feel that the standard for the whole place drop by just a little, just a bit ok. I guess it’s the maintenance of the place which make it just *can’t find appropriate words.

A person’s portion of Ginseng Bak Kut Teh, 2 rice and Yao Char Kuai (is this how you spell it?) cost you RM 15 RM 35 !! *Note that it is non-halal.

Hmm, I guess I wouldn’t be making another trip to Genting so soon. Probably will have to wait for months years. The theme park just doesn’t attract me, as I am roller coaster phobic. So I can’t do much there too, as I am still under 21 *Wink. Till then……

Yes, 2 tickets to Air Supply. Me and my dad at Genting for their concert. They are finally here, after I have waited for so long. It has been 3 years since they came to Malaysia, and I had to make sure that I catch them performing live before they couldn’t do any concerts anymore.

My first time at the Arena of Stars and it was my first concert in my life.

It wasn’t the best of seats and next to me was 4 aunties. This was expected. I have learnt my lesson - book early.

Rocking the arena with “Every Woman in the World”, “Two Less Lonely People in the World”, “Making Love Out of Nothing at All”, “Goodbye”, “Even the Nights are Better”, “Lost in Love”, “The One That You Love”, “The Power of Love”, “Without You” and etc.

Russell changed into a Green Batik shirt mid way through the concert. It looked great on him (he’s the one with the arrow pointing on him). They also came down to the audience platform to further electrolyse everyone.

They ended the concert with “All Out of Love”, with people gathering near the stage.

I truly enjoyed the concert as it is definitely one of my dream which I really want to achieve in my life. Not just to attend any concert, but Air Supply’s. Even though their songs are much appreciated by Uncles and Aunties, but for me, their songs really helped me through my hardest times in my life and I am really thankful for that. Not many people of my age would really understand why I love their songs so much, but the songs really make you fall in love.

Yeah, finally I have landed on Facebook. Nope, this does not mean I have given up on Friendster, in fact, I am not really active in Friendster anymore. Why Facebook then? Cause my Frisbee mates are there, chatting about upcoming tourneys and some random chats which they find it funny and also criticising about CEOs of certain companies. So I have no choice but to enter Facebook and open myself vulnerable of Wall’s bombardment. I have seen many people’s wall, and it really makes me losing my appetite as it is just to *censored.

Anyway my Plan 2 for entering Magic Nationals this year unlikely will be achieve because I do not really plan to go for Ipoh Qualifiers, as I don’t really have the confidence in playing this year’s meta game. If there is something big or some inspiring vote of confidence, then probably that would be what it takes to change my mind.

On the contrary, praying hard that Plan 1 - teaching Ultimate at Sungai Petani will work. Just one phone call and the plan will be a success. Waiting eagerly and hopefully Monday I can start. Really keeping my fingers crossed as I have just been sleepless for nights.
