Nottingham’s New Teaching Block
March 30, 08 by -FCUK-Hmm, the images are not really that good after I have resize them to 500px X 375px.
The University of Nottingham (Malaysia campus), has just finished building a new teaching block, F3 to accommodate more students and also to make more rooms available for different modules (subjects). The new block has already being used for nearly 6 months now and the interior design is certainly different from the first teaching block.
Here are some construction photos of the new block.
Isn’t it beautiful when it has finished? 3 floors of teaching hall, and a good tone of colour.
The block is linked with a bridge connecting to the library. Sadly, there’s no beautiful river or pond below the bridge, unless a downpour happens.
The emergency stairs, but also the main route for students to go to class.
Yeah, even though there are 3 floors, we have lifts. Every block in the campus which has more than 1 floor will have a lift.
Great view from the block. Beautiful scenery at Nottingham. Don’t worry, you will see a lot of this, from around the campus.
Ops, probably not a good view for this. Cars getting clamped for parking in a non-student spot. RM 50 will be fined.
Now, on to a sneak peak of the lecture rooms.
This is the seating design for one of the lecture rooms. There is another lecture room design, which I didn’t get a photo of. Sorry.
Not 1, but 2 projector screens in this lecture room. All lecture rooms are equipped with projector screens.
Will this new teaching block be enough? I doubt so. Probably it can sustain for another 3 to 5 years or so, before they start building another one. By that time, I have to come back to have a look at the university…..
