I went to The Gardens - Mid Valley a few weeks back and I was quite impressed on how it turned out to be, but only interiorly. The lightings were great, the tiles blended with the colour scheme, the great black leather sofa at the ground floor, the touch screen directory and the guy who greeted and opened the main door for you. Yeah that’s right, if you come from the drop off point, which is not the entrance from Mid Valley, there would be a guy to greet and open the door for you. But I am not sure whether there is anyone there now to do that.
But sadly, I was not impressed with the Lower Ground, which could be a great place to dine at, considering the wonderful downlights environment. The food outlets are a little scatter around and Italianese is situated at one corner of one of the upper floors. Most of the food outlets are quite pricey, probably because of the expensive rental, considering the image of being classy shopping complex.
There was a Cold Storage Marketplace at the Lower Ground though and it was quite awesome, for the things which they are selling there. For fresh seafood lovers, do check them out and you will see fresh lobsters, crabs and other seafood (still alive) being sold there. I spotted this Australian Snow Crab there and I was shocked to see the size of it, but I could see the smile on faces of seafood lovers already.

Anyway, not all outlets were open when I was there. But outlets like DKNY, and CK were already there. Forever 21 to appear there? Guess we will have to wait and see. There will be a Golden Screen Cinema Signature opening there too.
In short, it is really a place of class and it is a big contrast to Mid Valley, but no doubt, Mid Valley is a nicer place to hang out, considering that there are so many outlets there and fantastic food. But The Gardens would be in the books of rich and classy people…..

I’m having a sale currently. Trying to sell off my unwanted furniture and decorative. Please take note that none of the furniture and decorative lamps have been used, so it’s still brand new. All these are from my KFC Contest prizes. I have put the details, pictures and prices of the items on a website. Some prices are negotiable. The stuff are all lovely, but too bad I do not know how to appreciate such them. The webpage is http://wkcrazysale.blogspot.com/…..

My appetizer. Vegetables mixed with green apples.

My main course.
I have cooked my first meal at my new house last month and to me it was a success. Of course, I would cook something in which I am familiar with - Just fried egg, sausages, hash brown, mixed vegetables and mashed potatoes (instant). It was my first time cooking salad though and I messed part of it up, because I went to steam the vegetables. After tasting it, I realised that steaming was not such a good idea as it tasted weird. Luckily, mixing it with some green apples wasn’t that bad. I had appetizer and main course, but sadly I didn’t have ice-cream to complete a perfect first meal. However, I enjoyed it….

Malaysia seemed to be becoming more renowned lately. Last week, the first Malaysian went to space and today they launched Malaysian first submarine, a Scorpene submarine, which is named after our country’s first Prime Minister. Malaysia is really into doing new things and becoming a more renowned worldwide.
Anyway, for those who are planning to go to Macau, AirAsia is offering cheap fares for those from Kuching to go to Macau from only RM 39.99, as it is launching its first international flight to Macau from Kuching airport. I can imagine Kenny Sia going there, or probably he would prefer to take Malaysian Airlines.
More details of the submarine can be read from here…

Tan Sri Lim Goh Tong has passed away at Subang Jaya Medical Centre this morning. He is the founder of Genting Group and certainly one of the richest man in Malaysia.
“The fifth child in a family of seven children, Lim migrated from China’s Fujian province in 1937 at the age of 19 with only a small suitcase and US$175. “ Quoted from The Star, this sentence certainly reminds me of my grandfather who also went through the same process, who came to Malaysia from China at a very young age with not much money in hand. 3 people in Malaysia who are successful in my books are certainly my grandfater, Tan Sri Lim Goh Tong and Tan Sri Teo Su Cheng.
Anyway, more information can be obtained from the here…..

It has been a long time since I updated my blog, and I take this opportunity to start blogging again, in the memories of my grandfather, Teoh Teng Hai, who has passed away for exactly one month.
My grandfather was indeed a very successful businessman. Success is evaluated differently by everyone, but to me, he has had a tremendous life and I am sure that he is definitely resting in peace. Probably it is fair to say that without him, I wouldn’t have such a good life now.
Death is always a sad thing. It always changes a lot of things and raises a lot of questions. No one knows what death really brings a person to and so on. But, the most important thing is to remember those who have experience death, and if possible, continuing the legacy of the dead…..
